Mr Khemanand Maharaj is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with specialist expertise in head and neck oncology and facial reconstruction. He provides comprehensive care across a wide range of oral, facial, and jaw conditions, combining surgical precision with a focus on restoring both function and appearance.

He takes a patient-centred approach, ensuring individuals are fully informed about their condition and treatment options, and is committed to delivering safe, effective outcomes using modern surgical techniques.

Background

Mr Maharaj holds both dental and medical qualifications, having gained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of the West Indies before completing his medical degree (MBBS) and Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci). He also holds Memberships with the Faculty of Dental Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd, MRCSEd).

He completed specialist training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the East of England Deanery and was awarded a Master of Science with Distinction (MSc Dist.) from the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. In 2022, he achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRCSEd OMFS).

Mr Maharaj is an active member of leading professional bodies, including BAOMS, BAHNO, and EACMFS, and continues to develop his expertise in head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgery.
