We’re excited to be backing another rising team this season! The Hamptons Hospital is now the official sponsor of the Hampton Rangers Girls U14s, as they step into their first full season of league football.

Representing the heart of the Hampton community, the Hampton Rangers Girls U14s are breaking new ground as they step into their very first full league campaign.

Wearing their new home kit, they enter the Alan Boswell Group Cambridgeshire Girls and Women’s Football League for the first time—learning the game as they go and building confidence with every match.

To kick off the season, we caught up with Coach Alex Seager to learn more about this brilliant group of players.

Q&A with Coach Alex Seager

Who are the Hampton Rangers Girls and what league do you play in?
We’re Hampton Rangers Girls U14s, and we play in the U14C North division of the Alan Boswell Group Cambridgeshire Girls and Women’s Football League.

How did the team get started?
The team began training recreationally in October 2023, with the goal of joining the league the following season. I’ve been involved since the very beginning. The idea was to create new sporting opportunities for girls in the area and I’m confident we’ve done just that.

What makes this team stand out?
Many of the girls had never played football before joining. The way they’ve built resilience and confidence through training and matches is remarkable. That personal growth is one of our biggest achievements so far.

Any recent moments you’re especially proud of?
Absolutely—completing their first full season of competitive football. Most of the team didn’t know the rules or tactics at the start, but they embraced the learning curve and kept showing up. That attitude makes me incredibly proud.

What’s next this season?
The focus is on two things: having fun and continuing to develop their skills and knowledge of the game. It’s all about enjoying the journey.

Why Sponsorship Matters

What has it meant to have The Hamptons Hospital as a sponsor?
It’s a really positive step for the team. Having the backing of an organisation like The Hamptons Hospital—who play such a pivotal role in the local community—gives the girls a sense of support and recognition that means a lot.

Any response from parents or the community?
Yes! Parents and other coaches have been really proud to see the girls sponsored by The Hamptons Hospital. It’s sparked a lot of excitement and helped raise the team’s profile within the club and community.

Have a great season, girls!
We’re really proud of you for stepping onto the pitch and setting a fantastic example of what it means to try something new, learn and grow. Keep enjoying the game, and get after it! ⚽🔥💪
