Dr Salam Salloum is a Consultant Cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience across cardiology, cardiac surgery, and cardiac intensive care. He specialises in heart failure, valvular heart disease, and advanced cardiac imaging, helping patients achieve accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans through some of the most sophisticated cardiac investigations available.

His expertise spans both complex cardiac conditions and everyday cardiovascular concerns, combining advanced imaging techniques with a patient-focused approach. He is committed to providing clear explanations, personalised care, and access to the latest diagnostic technologies to help patients better understand and manage their heart health.

Background

Dr Salloum completed specialist cardiology training at several of the UK’s leading cardiac centres. His training included cardiac intensive care at Southampton University Hospital, advanced heart failure and cardiac surgery experience at Royal Papworth Hospital, and general cardiology, echocardiography, stress echocardiography, and cardiac CT training at Oxford University Hospitals.

He subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in Cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital, achieving Level 3 EACVI Accreditation. He also holds British, European, and American certifications in echocardiography. Throughout his career, he has reported thousands of advanced cardiac imaging studies, including cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, and stress echocardiograms, supporting the diagnosis and management of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
