What to expect
An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scan provides detailed images of the body’s internal structures, helping to diagnose and monitor a wide range of conditions with unmatched clarity. Whether investigating a specific issue or seeking further insight, an MRI offers precision and confidence in your diagnosis.
At Hamptons Hospital, your experience begins with a thorough explanation of the procedure from our expert radiology team. During the scan, you’ll lie comfortably inside the MRI machine, which uses powerful magnets and radio waves to capture images. You’ll be provided with ear protection and can communicate with the team throughout the scan.
The procedure is entirely non-invasive and typically lasts 20–60 minutes, depending on the area being examined. Afterward, our specialists will review the results and guide you on your next steps.
Results are often available within 48 hours, empowering you with clear answers and a tailored plan for your health.
