Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Respiratory Physiologist to join our growing clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is confident and competent in performing and interpreting lung function tests to support high-quality patient care.

We are looking for staff available for any days Monday – Friday and have flexible working patterns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of lung function testing, including:
  • Spirometry
  • Lung volumes
  • Gas transfer (DLCO)
  • Reversibility testing
  • Ensure accurate and high-quality data collection in line with clinical standards
  • Analyse and interpret test results, supporting clinical diagnosis
  • Maintain calibration and quality control of respiratory equipment
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including consultants and clinical staff
  • Provide clear and professional patient care throughout testing procedures

Essential Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology (Respiratory) or relevant Biological Degree
  • Working towards RCCP/AHCS Registration
  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Physiologist
  • Demonstrated competency in completing lung function tests independently
  • Strong understanding of respiratory diagnostics and physiology
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills

Desirable

  • ARTP accreditation (or working towards)
  • Experience in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Familiarity with respiratory diagnostic software and systems
